Updated: January 25, 2012 12:55PM

Get involved in an exercise class, play Bunco with new friends, enjoy an Italian feast, play Family Feud or take a gamble at Four Winds Casino in Michigan. There is always something fun for seniors to do in the Fox Valley.

Exercise

The Aurora Senior Center encourages all seniors to participate in its new Fit and Strong program from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The program is free to seniors and includes a focus on flexibility, aerobic exercise and strength building.

The program is 8 weeks long and pre-registration is appreciated.

For more information, call Paul Heinkel at 630-897-4035.

Travel

The Elburn Senior Center is sponsoring a trip to Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Mich., on Feb. 21.

Tickets are $35 per person, which includes bus transportation, $10 toward lunch and $15 of playing money. The bus will leave at 7:45 a.m. from the Elburn Jewel-Osco (800 N. Main St.) and will return around 6 p.m.

“This trip is open to everyone and is a great day out,” said Bettie Chidester, tour director for the Elburn Senior Center. “The Four Winds Casino is really lovely, and people are welcome even if they are coming alone. You can always make friends.”

The deadline to sign up is Monday. For more information and to reserve your spot, call 630-879-7898.
