AUDITIONS

Cantigny Park: Cantigny is seeking volunteers who would like to showcase their musical talent for its “Summer Sounds at Cantigny Park” program. Musicians will be positioned in various garden locations from 5 to 7 p.m. every Thursday evening through September. Musicians should contact Brian Gray at (630) 260-8167 or bgray@cantigny.org.

New Classic Singers: The Singers, a select 36 voice adult choral ensemble, will hold auditions for 2011-2012 membership July 19. Auditions are open to all highly skilled adult singers, and will include singing two prepared selection, sight-reading, vocalizing and a brief interview. Aurora Louche Puce Market: A festive community event, Louche Puce takes place on Water Street Mall, a tree lined alley between Downer and Galena, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 13, All ages will find something to do along the mall, whether browsing goods or hula hooping in the adjacent Mundy Park. The inaugural market on June 11 will be held in conjunction with the Aurora Green Fest, the Aurora Farmers Market and the Aurora Paddlesports Festival. A shuttle will run between all four events.
