Respect Life Mass: In the Diocese of Rockford, Catholics come together monthly for a time of prayer and the celebration of the Holy Mass offered for the protection of all life and for an end to abortion. The July 5 prayer and Mass will be held at St. Peter Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva. The Rosary is recited at 6:40 p.m. followed by Mass at 7 p.m. Parish office, 630-232-0124.

Marmion Monk Ordained: On June 4, Bishop Thomas Doran of the Diocese of Rockford ordained Brother Marcos Rivas OSB to the deaconate in the Marmion Abbey Church of St. Augustine of Canterbury in Aurora. He has completed three years of theological studies for the priesthood at St. Mary of the Lake Seminary, Mundelein. He will complete is final year of studies for the priesthood and be ordained in the spring of 2012.
Preschool
Together with Jesus: The parent and toddler program returns to Immanuel Lutheran School, 950 Hart Road, Batavia, in the fall. A parent and 2-year-old child participate in a variety of activities and gives parents an opportunity to network with other parents of toddlers. Vacation Bible School
Wonderful Water Nature Camp: Covenant of Grace Church and Union Congregational Church will hold a nature camp for kids 5 to 11 years of age from 9 a.m. to noon July 18 through 22 at Union Congregational Church, 405 W. State St., North Aurora. The kids will develop an awareness of God’s creation through the observation and study of nature. Cost is $10. Register at 630-906-9661.

Friday Noon Concerts: Free noontime concerts every Friday this summer, through Aug. 26, at Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, Main Street and Fourth Ave., St. Charles.
