AURORA — From 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, the Crossroads Community Networking Group will hold a “Resume Review and Job Search Mega Event” at the Aurora Fox Valley Community Center and Library, 555 S. Eola Road. The event is free, and will feature one-on-one professional resume reviews and one-on-one professional job search coaching sessions. There will also be free training seminars, designed to give you the tools and skills needed for speeding up your job search.

Coffee Before Business financial advice

SANDWICH — The Sandwich Chamber of Commerce will hold its Coffee Before Business networking event from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Dec. 3. The monthly event is held at Timber Creek Inn & Suites, 3300 Drew Ave., Sandwich.

This month’s coffee will have a slightly different format. Sue Hills, of Stifel Nicolaus, will give a short presentation titled, “Staying Financially Fit.” Hills will discuss ways to make your money stretch, including creating a spending plan that will assist in evaluating your spending habits. Attendees will also receive a tool to monitor their progress in order to avoid overspending during the holidays.

All area business professionals are invited to attend this free event. There is always open networking before and after the presentation, and there will be complimentary coffee and pastries.
