Oswego schools will soon be on the hunt to fill an administrative vacancy, as Todd Colvin, associate superintendent for administration, will be leaving for another district at the end of the school year.

Colvin has taken the position of associate superintendent of human resources for Township High School District 214, the state’s second-largest high school district. The district includes Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, John Hersey, Prospect, Rolling Meadows and Wheeling high schools.

Colvin has worked for the Oswego School District for the past 17 years, beginning as the assistant principal of Oswego High School. He was named principal of Thompson Junior High in 1997, then became principal of Oswego High School in 2001. He has served as an assistant superintendent since 2005.

“Todd has been an outstanding administrator at all levels in our district,” said Superintendent Dan O’Donnell. “He has successfully filled every role we asked of him, and he will be sorely missed by me and our entire leadership team.”

Colvin will continue with Oswego through June 30, working with the district’s boundary process, recruitment and hiring, setting the next school year’s calendar and overseeing the majority of operational departments in the district.

The Oswego School District is also in the process of hiring an assistant superintendent of teaching and learning to replace Marsha Hollis, who will retire by July 1.
