Aurora

Debra Locke, 57, 3100 block of Longwood Lane, Aurora, was charged with felony retail theft and felony obstruction of justice following an incident that occurred at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday in the 2900 block of Kirk Road, police said.

Ernest Brunelle, 60, homeless, of Aurora, was charged with felony aggravated battery to an emergency medical technician at 6:40 a.m. Thursday near Gate Street and Middle Avenue, police said. Police said two EMTs were assisting Brunelle when he grabbed them after getting angry.

Luis Maldonado, 33, 900 block of Apple Court, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, no license, no insurance, and improper lane usage at 12:19 a.m. Friday near Farnsworth Avenue and Indian Avenue, police said.

Someone broke into a home in the 1200 block of Monomoy Street between 8:30 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. Thursday and stole a laptop computer, a Kindle, video game equipment and jewelry worth $1,340, police said.

Kendall County

Cassandra L. Lutz-Edmonds, 20, of the 1300 block of Marketplace Drive, Yorkville, was injured Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision at Route 71 and Bowen Road, Newark, Big Grove Township, the Kendall County Sheriff’s office said. Deputies said a car driven by Byron Gibb, 27, of Sheridan, had been stopped on Bowen Road and pulled out in front of Lutz-Edmonds’ car. She was unable to stop in time to avoid the accident. Lutz-Edmonds was treated and released at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich.
