Burglars steal cash, watches from Aurora apartment

A burglary that resulted in $11,320 in stolen and damaged property was reported Friday at 10:31 a.m. at an apartment in the Belles Terrace Condos, 1100 block North Farnsworth Avenue in Aurora.

The burglary occurred between 7 and 9 a.m. the same day. According to a police report, the burglar smashed the rear door and entered through it.

About $5,000 in cash, $1,850 in men’s watches, 1/8 ounce of marijuana valued at $4,000 and car keys were reported stolen from the apartment.

Aurora

Robert Martinez Magana, 42, 200 block South Lake Street, was arrested for felony aggravated domestic battery, felony aggravated battery by strangling and felony domestic battery on Friday at 4:30 a.m. at his home.

George McGoldrick, 20, 1800 block Tall Oaks Drive, Aurora, was arrested for felony attempted bribery, driving under the influence of alcohol, improper traffic lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle on Friday at 4:52 a.m. in the 1800 block of Church Road.

Tavares Harden, 35, 500 block California Avenue, Aurora, was arrested for felony aggravated domestic battery and two counts of misdemeanor battery on Saturday in the 800 block of Gillette Avenue. He was arrested for misdemeanor violation of bail bond the same day at 4:30 a.m.

Todd Butts, 35, 600 block Sheridan Street, Aurora, was arrested for felony violation of the sex offender registration act on Sunday at 10:17 a.m. after he turned himself in to Aurora police.

Moses Williamson, 25, 700 block Logan Street, Aurora, was arrested for felony illegal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of cannabis between 2.5 and 10 grams on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Aurora Police Department.

Marie Steinmetz, 35, 700 block Manor Hill Place, Sugar Grove, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and failure to signal on Sunday at 4:49 p.m. at Indian Trail and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Obed Jiminez-Chacon, 31, 900 block Old Indian Trail, Aurora, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended or revoked license, driving too fast for the conditions and improper traffic lane usage on Friday at 2:39 a.m. at Illinois Avenue and Gladstone Avenue.

Crystal Ortiz, 18, 500 block Hankes Avenue, Aurora, was arrested for felony aggravated battery in a public place and misdemeanor criminal trespassing in a building on Thursday at 4:52 p.m. in the 400 block of North Farnsworth Avenue.

Jose Ortega, 21, 500 block Hoyles Avenue, Aurora, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs on Saturday at 3:40 p.m. at East Downer Place and South Anderson Street.

Kendall County

A Yorkville woman was taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries after she was involved in a rollover car crash that occurred Saturday at 8:25 p.m. on Hilltop Road east of Route 71.

Benjamin Jungels, 44, 0-100 block Crescent Court, Montgomery, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence in Aurora on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the 2700 block of Route 34 in Oswego.
