A Montgomery man has been charged with theft for allegedly using counterfeit $50 bills at least times last week, Yorkville police said.
Dionta McIntosh, 22, 2800 block of Lynn Drive, allegedly used the fake bills to make purchases at a business in the 1600 block of North Beecher Road in Yorkville from Jan. 15 to 19.
Jose Ramirez, 28, 400 block of Marion Avenue, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, no license, illegal transportation of alcohol, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 12:10 a.m. Thursday at his home.
Kyle Rome, 27, Carpentersville, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and expired registration at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday near North Eola Road and Stonebridge Boulevard. Sarah Strickland, 19, Carpentersville, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Timothy Prinz, 21, 2100 block of Grand Pointe Trail, Aurora, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a headlight violation at 9:15 p.m. Thursday near Long Grove Drive and Ogden Avenue, police said.
Benahdam Hurt, 20, 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony aggravated battery to a peace officer at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of North Highland Avenue, police said.
A Plano woman was injured in a two-car crash that occurred at 5:49 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Wolf’s Crossing Road, deputies said. Maria Ramos-Rodriguez, 27, 100 block of West Abe Street, was taken to an area hospital where she was treated for minor injuries, deputies said. She was ticketed for having no valid licence. A 16-year-old Aurora teen was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
Jonathan Guerrero, 21, of the 1800 block of Fescue Drive, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing a police officer at 2:51 p.m. Jan. 17 in the 600 block of Western Avenue, Geneva police said.
Yorkville police are investigating a retail theft that occurred on Jan. 13 in the 1600 block of North Beecher Road where $1,359 worth of electronics were taken from a business.
