Aurora man charged with sex assault of a child

Cesareo Lozano Hernandez, 31, 700 block Springbrook Drive, Aurora, was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony, as well as felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a family member, felony aggravated sexual abuse of a victim under the age of 13 and felony sexual exploitation of a child, authorities said. He was arrested Thursday at 6:40 p.m. at his home.

Aurora

Michael James, 38, 800 block East New York Street, Aurora, was charged with armed robbery without a firearm, a Class X felony, and felony mob action with use of force involving two or more people. He was arrested Friday at 10:45 a.m. in the 1600 block of Plum Street.

Miguel Angel Rios, 30, 700 block East Downer Place, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested Friday at 10:35 p.m. at South Lincoln Avenue and Marion Avenue.

Edwin Banos, 42, 1300 block Plum Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, as well as misdemeanor possession of cannabis between 2.5 and 10 grams, misdemeanor aggravated assault and use of a deadly weapon involving a rifle, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor driving on a suspended or revoked license. He was arrested Saturday at 7:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Tinley Drive.

Jesus Cortes-Villagomez, 55, 1000 block North Main Street, St. Charles, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper traffic lane usage. He was arrested Sunday at 1:09 a.m. at Waterford Drive and Mair Drive. According to a police report, he was driving southeast on Waterford Drive when he lost control of his vehicle in the snow, spun out and struck a light pole.

Denise Clark, 44, 900 block Prairie Street, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for disregarding a stop sign and illegal possession and transportation of liquor. She was arrested Friday at 9:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Indian Trail Road.

Marcelo Valles-Velazquez, 34, 800 block Sard Avenue, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for improper parking on a roadway and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was arrested Sunday at 12:12 a.m. at West Ashland Avenue and South Broadway Street.

Adrian Lomeli, 22, 1300 block Superior Street, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for improper lane use. He was arrested Sunday at 3:10 a.m. at South Farnsworth Avenue and North Avenue.

An Aurora man was injured and taken to an Aurora hospital after a car struck him at about 4:45 a.m. Wednesday and he rolled up on the hood of the car in a parking lot in the 1700 block of Felten Road. According to a police report, the man was hit after he exited a taxi and was walking up the driveway of the parking lot. The driver fled the scene.

A woman was taken to an Aurora hospital with injuries after her car crashed into a tree Thursday at 6:55 p.m. at East Indian Train Road near Stonebridge Boulevard. The woman was driving west on Indian Trail Road, according to a police report, when her vehicle slid on the wet road, struck the curb, then jackknifed across the road and hit a tree. She was cited for improper lane usage.

A man was taken to an Aurora hospital for injuries after a two-car crash occurred Friday at 7:20 p.m. at East New York Street near North Commons Drive. According to a police report, a driver heading east on New York Street tried to stop her car but slid and struck the rear of another car sitting at a stoplight.

An Aurora woman was cited for improper backing up after she collided with a bus owned or leased by Joliet Township High School. The woman was cited after she backed out of her driveway in the 400 block of Hill Avenue and struck the right side of a bus carrying 39 people that was stopped in traffic at Hill and Fifth avenues. According to a police report, it was snowing at the time and the road was slick.

Oswego

Agustin Xochipa-Flores, 35, 1700 block Illinois Avenue, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence and cited for driving without lights when required and lacking a valid driver’s license. He was arrested Sunday at 1:30 a.m at the intersection of Routes 34 and 30.
