No injuries in North Avenue shooting in Aurora

No one was injured early Monday morning when someone fired approximately six shots toward a home in the 700 block of North Avenue, Aurora police said.

According to police reports, a resident reported hearing multiple shots fired outside the home around 1:50 a.m. The resident looked for damage at that time, and found none.

Around 8:23 a.m. Tuesday morning, police were called to the location and found several shots had actually struck the home.

Police said five gunshot holes were found in the exterior of the home. Two bullets had penetrated a wall of the home and were found located inside.

A total of six bullet casings were found at the scene. Police said a vehicle was also struck by a bullet during the incident.
