An Aurora man has been charged with stealing more than $5,000 of property from an Oswego residence, and allegedly selling the items online.
William Wilkinson, 35, 200 block of South Fordham Avenue, was charged with felony burglary after Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant on the man’s home and recovered some of the stolen items.
On Sept. 5, 2013, deputies received the report of a residential burglary that occurred in the 2000 block of Simons Road in Oswego. The victim reported that cabinets, fixtures, appliances and copper piping, worth more than $5,000, had been stolen.
An investigation led detectives online, where they found several of the items being advertised for sale. Deputies were able to secure a search warrant for Wilkinson’s residence, where many of the items were recovered.
