Third baby Jesus figure stolen in Batavia

Another baby Jesus was stolen from a Nativity scene in the front yard of a house in Batavia.
Batavia police said the figure was stolen in the 500 block of South Forest Avenue on the city’s northeast side sometime before 8:45 p.m. Dec. 22.
Earlier this month, a baby Jesus was removed from a plastic Nativity scene in the 300 block of Douglas Road, and a plywood Nativity manger and figures were removed from a front yard in the 1300 block of North Washington Avenue.
Emily Montano, 19, 1100 block of Jericho Road, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Sill Avenue, police said.
Bosque Del, 500 block of East Galena Boulevard, Aurora, was injured at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by a vehicle while walking through a parking lot in the 1200 block of North Lake Street, police said. The car’s driver, Kevin Sayles, 2000 block of Lilac Lane, Aurora, was cited for having no insurance, police said.
Three people were injured in a two-car rear-end crash that occurred around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday near Route 59 and Liberty Street, police said. Nora Zamudio, 800 block of Columbia Street, Aurora, and her two passengers, who live at the same address, were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center, where they were treated for injures after Zamudio’s car was struck from behind by John Annoreno, 300 block of Post Oak Circle, West Chicago, police said. Annoreno was ticketed by Aurora police.
Kristy Robertson, 31, 1000 block of Garfield Avenue, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and improper lane usage at 12:20 a.m. Friday after her vehicle struck a car near East New York Street and North Broadway, police said.
Devonte Moore, 24, 400 block of West New York Street, was charged with two counts of felony domestic battery at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday at his home, police said.
An Aurora man was injured at 5:10 p.m. Thursday when he was struck by a vehicle while walking across the street near McCoy Drive and Frontenac Street, police said. David Ardelean, 1100 block of Sheffer Road, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center. No tickets were issued, police said. The car’s driver stopped after striking Ardelean, police said. Ardelean said he was crossing the street to pick up a can in the roadway.
Ashley Phipps, 500 block of Danbury Drive, Oswego, was injured in a single-car crash at 11:43 a.m. Thursday near 75th Street and Ogden Avenue, police said. Phipps allegedly went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. She was cited for having no insurance, police said.
Someone tried to steal $1,700 in baby formula around 1:20 p.m. Dec. 18, from a store in the 2000 block of Orchard Road. Police said the suspect fled the scene in a white U-Haul van.
Derek Grant, 400 block of North Ohio Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving at 3:50 a.m. Sunday near Montgomery Road and Lafayette Street, after he was found parked in a fire lane, police said.
William DuMont, 41, 200 block of South Main Street, Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving and resisting a peace officer at 10 p.m. Monday after he allegedly turned in front of a squad car, then resisted arrest by running into his home, police said.
Rachel Lofthouse, 22, 100 block of White Oak Drive, North Aurora, was charged with drunken driving at 1:15 a.m. Monday near Madison Street and Main Street after she was stopped for failing to dim her headlights, police said.
A 2000 white Jeep Cherokee worth $8,000 was taken sometime between Monday and 10:55 a.m. Tuesday from the lot of a dealership in the 0-99 block of West Washington Street, police said.
