Warming centers available in Aurora

With winter temperatures firmly entrenched in the region, the city of Aurora is issuing a reminder of the warming centers that are available across the city.
The warming center sites include:
All Aurora Public Library locations which are located at 1 E. Benton St., 555 S. Eola Road, and 233 S. Constitution Ave. The libraries are all open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. For information, call 630-264-4100.
Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., which is available 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For information call 630-859-8606.
Salvation Army, 437 E. Galena Blvd., which is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. Their phone number is 630-897-7265.
Senior citizens who require additional assistance should contact Senior Services Inc., a local social service agency, which provides much needed services. They are at 900 N. Lake St., second floor, and are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. They can be reached 24 hours a day by calling 630-897-4035.
