An Aurora man has been charged with felony home invasion, after allegedly breaking into his neighbor’s home and fighting the man on Thursday evening.
Police said it was around 10:30 p.m. Thursday when Mark Charipar, 26, of the 700 block of Sexton Street entered the home of his 43-year-old neighbor without permission. Charipar allegedly began to fight with the neighbor.
Police said the attack was unprovoked.
During the fight, police said Charipar chased the victim from his home. The victim ran to a nearby home to call police, and Charipar fled from the scene.
Police arrived, and found Charipar located in a yard in the 700 block of Lebanon Street, where he was taken into custody and charged with felony home invasion, a Class X felony.
The victim received several cuts to his hands during the fight with Charipar, but refused medical assistance, police said.
