Snow to hit right before Monday evening commute

Commuters in the Fox Valley Monday afternoon could be dealing with a fast-moving snow storm that could leave up to 2 inches of snow on the ground before it moves out.
The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement later Monday morning that a quick burst of snow is likely Monday afternoon and early evening with the possibility of heavy snowfall along and north of a line from Rockford to Aurora to Valparaso, Ind.
The weather system wll move southeast across the area brining snow to the Chicago metro area starting at 3 p.m.
The most intense snow could hast two to three hours and dump about 2 inches of snow north of the Rockford, Aurora, Valparasio line with more snowfall levels closer to the Wisconsin border.
