Yorkville man chases burglar out of his house, nothing stolen

A Yorkville man came home Tuesday to find a burglar in his house.
According to Yorkville police, the incident occurred in the 400 block of Poplar Drive at 11:11 a.m.
The homeowner chased the other man on foot and then called the police.
A Kendall County Sheriff’s Office police dog tried to track down the burglar, but could not find him.
No property was reported stolen. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
Jesus Hernandez-Lopez, 56, of the 900 block of Rural Street, Aurora, was charged Wednesday with drunken driving at Union and Front streets, Aurora police said. He also was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with expired registration.
Bobby H. Martin, 43, of the 1200 block of Arapahoe Court, Naperville, was charged Wednesday with forgery, a Class 3 felony, at 1200 Indian Trail Road, Aurora police said.
Shanika L. Cherry, 22, of the 800 block of North Lake Street, Aurora, was charged Thursday with aggravated assault somewhere in Batavia, Aurora police said.
Someone stole an estimated $600 worth of diesel fuel out of two backhoes between late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning in the 900 block of Corporate Boulevard.
Lynda P. Marsala, 36, 60 block Circle Drive East, Montgomery, was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence and speeding. According to a police report, Marsala was stopped at Kennedy Road and Autumn Creek Boulevard at 10:12 p.m. for driving 79 mph in a 45 mph zone.
