A Naperville man has been charged with stealing $100,000 worth of property from an Oswego business earlier this year.
David Kives, 47, 1700 Baybrook Lane, faces charges of felony theft and felony burglary following a 10-month investigation into the theft of construction equipment and appliances from an Oswego business.
The investigation began on Feb. 6 when a business in the 100 block of Kirkland Circle reported the theft of air conditioning units, furnaces, water heaters and construction equipment worth $100,000.
In April, police received a tip from someone who believed the missing property might be located in a storage unit in unincorporated Naperville.
Oswego police were issued a search warrant for the unit, and seized numerous pieces of the stolen property.
The search led to charges being filed against Kives.
