AURORA — Aurora Downtown is sponsoring a downtown revitalization workshop Saturday, Nov. 9.
Organizers hope the workshop, called R.A.D. — Revitalizing Aurora’s Downtown — will lead to an action plan to spur redevelopment in the city’s downtown. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 9 at the North Island Center ballroom, 8 E. Galena Blvd. in Aurora.
Aurora Downtown Board member Dan Hites said the group’s goal is to get as much input from as many people as possible. Business owners, building owners and anyone who has an interest in downtown is welcome, Hites said.
“We want to know what are the issues (downtown) and how do we address them,” Hites said Friday.
He said he hopes residents come to the workshop ready to share ideas.
The workshop is sponsored by Aurora Downtown’s Business and Retention Committee. Consultant Larry Lund will lead the event.
