Aurora police are investigating two weekend shootings that left one man injured early Sunday morning.
Police said a 22-year-old man was shot in the face and abdomen around 2:50 a.m. while he was at a party in the 1200 block of North Randall Road.
The victim had allegedly been fighting with a man as the party was breaking up at the home. During the course of the argument, the victim was shot by an acquaintance of the man he had been in the verbal argument with.
Police said the suspect fled the scene with a group of men, and the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The shooting is possibly gang-related, police said.
Later Sunday morning, police were called to the scene of a second shooting. At around 5:45 a.m., a home in the 1100 block of Douglas Road was struck several times by gunfire. No one was injured in that incident, and police do not have a suspect descriptions.
This shooting may also be gang-related, police said.
