Kane County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking two suspects who were involved in a home invasion Thursday night in unincorporated Montgomery.
Deputies said two black men in their mid-20s entered a home on Kevin Drive at around 6:45 p.m. and confronted a male resident.
The two men allegedly demanded items from inside the home, and then struck the male victim with a handgun.
The victim was able to flee from the home and call police, but not before the suspects left the scene.
Lt. Patrick Gengler of the Sheriff’s Department said that the home appeared to have been ransacked after the victim fled, but the victim was unsure what, if anything, had been taken. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries involved in the attack.
Deputies believe the suspects were driving a gold, four-door Pontiac Grand Am with a missing rear hubcap.
One suspect was described as a black male, approximately 25 years old with a deep voice and a stocky build. The second suspect was only described as a black male, around 25 years old.
Gengler said he believes the house was targeted, and that it was not a random crime.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Kane County Sheriff’s Det. Steve Collins at 630-208-2037
