Several people were injured in a seven-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday evening in Aurora.
Police said Rigo Portillo-Aguilar, 25, 0-99 block of Pasadena Drive, Oswego, was driving westbound on New York Street when his vehicle rear-ended a Nissan Altima driven by Sylvia Guerra, 41, 900 block of South Kendall Street, Aurora.
The force of the crash pushed Portillo-Aguilar’s vehicle into the eastbound lanes of New York Street, where it struck a Chevy Malibu driven by Filiberto Leyva, 62, 300 block of Howell Place, Aurora.
Guerra’s Nissan, meanwhile, struck a Ford Ranger driven by Antonio Zepeda-Serafin, 47, 800 block of Church Road, Aurora. Zepeda-Serafin’s vehicle then hit a Ford Transit driven by Antonio Conner, 27, 300 block of West Old Indian Trail Road, Aurora. The impact caused Conner’s vehicle to strike a Pontiac G6 that was eastbound on New York Street, driven by Diana Gonzalez-Toledano, 22, 700 block of Fulton Street, Aurora.
The force of that crash caused Gonzalez-Toledano’s Pontiac to spin and hit a westbound Saturn SL driven by Denaricka Whitty, 32, 300 block of West Old Indian Trail Road, Aurora.
Portillo-Aguilar was cited for driving too fast for conditions. Gonzalez-Toledano was cited for having no valid license.
