Man stabbed in Aurora is expected to live

No one has been charged following a stabbing in Aurora that left a 30-year-old man seriously injured.
Police said the man is expected to live, but is suffering from a serious laceration to his neck.
The stabbing happened around 10:40 p.m. Friday in a parking lot in the 1800 block of Lilac Lane, police said. They were called to the scene after someone reported a fight breaking out between a group of men, at least one of whom had a knife.
When they arrived on the scene, police said they found the victim bleeding from the neck. He said he needed an ambulance before collapsing to the ground, reports show.
James White, 59, 200 Fifth Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to signal, and windshield obstruction at 6:15 p.m. Friday near Douglas Avenue and Sherman Avenue, police said.
George Kalina, 38, 17500 Fraizier Road, Sandwich, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and not wearing a seatbelt a 6:15 p.m. Friday near Douglas Avenue and Sherman Avenue, police said.
Adolfo Ramirez, 25, 1100 block of Rural Street, Aurora, was charged with felony criminal sexual abuse at 6 p.m. Friday at his home, police said.
Someone stole an air conditioning unit and broke a fence, causing $1,800 in losses, sometime between Aug. 15 and Saturday at a home in the 200 block of North Avenue, police said.
Keith Tuftee, 28, of Texas, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane usage, failure to signal and illegal transportation of alcohol at 1:37 a.m. Sunday near Route 34 and Boulder Hill Pass, deputies said.
Dean Holmstrom, 26, 500 block of Laurie Lane, Oswego, was charged with drunken driving, driving on a revoked license, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol after he was involved in a single-car crash at 11:08 p.m. Saturday in the 12800 block of Fox Road in Yorkville, deputies said.
William Dumont, 40, 200 block of South Main Street, Montgomery, was charged with disorderly conduct and aggravated assault and resisting arrest after an incident that occurred in Boulder Hill on Saturday. Deputies were called to a home in the 0-99 block of Afton Drive after Dumont allegedly threw a bottle at a woman’s car. Police said he fled the scene on foot, but was found nearby. When he was approached by deputies, Dumont allegedly resisted arrest. He was also cited for criminal damage to government property for banging his head against the window of the deputy’s squad car. Deputies found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Dumont, and he was charged for being in possession of both.
Ryan Freeland, 31, 0-99 block of Fernwood Drive, Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving and speeding at 2:02 a.m. Saturday near Route 34 and Douglas Road, police said.
Someone stole scaffolding, worth $9,206, off of a trailer sometime before 3:25 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Julep Avenue, police said.
Police said Joshua Dobson, 24, 600 block of Otter Way, Oswego, was charged with burglary following a 22-month long investigation into an incident that occurred on Nov. 6, 2011 in the 400 block of Pine Ridge Drive, police said. His bail was set at $75,000.
An Aurora woman was charged with seven counts of retail theft after police investigated seven reports of theft at a business in the 2300 block of Route 34. Police began looking into the thefts in April. Lisa Davis, 25, 400 block of Watson Street, Aurora, was subsequently charged with theft.
Following a six-month investigation into a forgery that occurred on Feb. 18 in the 2500 block of Route 30, police charged Timothy Jefferies, 25, 1000 block of Century Lane, Aurora, with one count of forgery. Police said Jefferies attempted to cash a forged check for $350. His bail was set at $20,000.
