An Aurora man was injured early Tuesday morning after he was struck by a car while chasing his dog in the street.
Police said Winfield Stanciel, 1000 block of Camden Lane, was running after his loose dog at around 6:40 a.m. when a car struck him and fled the scene. Police said the vehicle was described as a car, and not an SUV or truck, but no other information was available.
Stanciel called police from Rush-Copley Medical Center where he was being treated for injuries.
The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about the theft of a chainsaw, gas blower and gas trimmer that were taken from a Millbrook home earlier this month.
Deputies said the burglary occurred sometime between Sept. 7 and Sept. 13 at a home in the 0-99 block of Harris Avenue. Someone entered a garage and took the items.
Anyone with information on this or other crimes is urged to call Kendall County Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999. Callers remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
