DuPage County officials Tuesday will dedicate the newly constructed Children’s Advocacy Center in memory of Jeanine Nicarico, the Naperville 10-year-old who was abducted from her home and slain in 1983.
The case spurred reforms to the method and process of investigating and prosecuting crimes against children. DuPage officials said the Jeanine Nicarico Children’s Advocacy Center is designed to provide a comprehensive response to allegations of child abuse.
The dedication ceremony is set for noon Tuesday at the facility, 422 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton.
