No explosives found at Cross Evangelical School in Yorkville

After an extensive search by police, no explosive devices were found Monday at Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church and School in Yorkville.
The sweep was conducted after a telephone threat was made to school officials Monday morning stating that something at the school would be “blown up.” Students were evacuated, and were released to their parents.
Kendall County Sheriff’s Department deputies, working with representatives of nearby agencies with K-9 units, conducted the search at the school, on the 8600 block of Route 47 in Yorkville.
The case is still under investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau, at 630-553-7500, ext. 1107.
