YORKVILLE — The proposed Kendall County noise ordinance could be voted on yet this month.
The proposal has been in the County Board’s Judicial and Legislative Committee while the State’s Attorney’s Office has been honing it.
Committee members last month saw the third draft, and it appears that is the one that will be discussed at the Sept. 12 Committee of the Whole meeting.
At that meeting, the entire board will discuss the ordinance and decide whether to pass it on to the full board meeting. If it does, that means the ordinance could come up for a vote as soon as Sept. 17.
The board has been looking at a noise ordinance since a Boulder Hill resident told County Board members about a month ago that she has been terrorized by a neighbor who plays music so loudly she cannot use her yard and cannot sleep in her house.
