No charges have been filed against a 19-year-old woman, who police say was involved in a fatal stabbing early Tuesday morning in Aurora. She was released from custody Wednesday evening.
Police said the woman allegedly stabbed 31-year-old Lamar House with the sharp end of a plastic comb during an argument that escalated out of control. The comb pierced House’s heart, causing him to bleed internally, according to autopsy reports released by the Kane County Coroner’s Office.
Aurora police said they, along with the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office, are continuing their investigation.
Paramedics were called to the 0-99 block of Ohio Street at around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday and found House unconscious and not breathing. Police said both House and the woman were inside a bedroom of the home.
House was rushed to the hospital, where doctors found a puncture wound to his left chest consistent with a stabbing. The woman in question was taken into custody later that morning.
Anyone who may have information on the case is being asked to call Aurora Police at 630-256-5500.
