Two men arrested after armed robbery of pawn shop

Two men were arrested after an armed robbery at a pawn shop on Aurora’s near West Side.
Angel Leon, 27, of the 200 block of Third Street, Aurora, and Eduardo Ramos, 24, of the 900 block of Wing Gate Road, Olympia Fields, were both charged with armed robbery after an incident at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday at the Cash America store, 882 N. Lake St.
According to police, the two men entered the pawn shop dressed in all black and brandishing a silver revolver and a sledgehammer. One of the men used the sledgehammer to smash a jewelry case, then took several pieces of gold jewelry. The two men then fled in a green vehicle parked outside.
Several gold chains and other jewelry believed to be stolen from the pawn shop, plus clothes believed to have been worn during the robbery were found in yards near Colorado and Hammond Avenues, near where police arrested Leon and Ramos.
Both the gun and the vehicle used in the robbery may have been stolen, according to police.
