Police: Arizona woman used social media to harass Kendall County resident

An Arizona woman is charged with using social networking sites Facebook and Instagram to harass a Kendall County resident.

On Dec. 27, 2013, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 40 block of Hampton Road near Montgomery, where they met with a person who said several Facebook and Instagram accounts were created in his or her name.

The content of the accounts were of a harassing nature to the person, authorities said.

Following an investigation, the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s office charged Sarah Aguirre, a 22-year-old from Queen Creek, Ariz., with misdemeanor harassment through electronic communication.

Aguirre is scheduled to appear in court July 31, the sheriff’s office said.
