Ace Hardware earns customer award
The Geneva ACE Hardware earned a Pinnacle Performance Retailing Award, according to Rob Livingston, general manager of the Geneva ACE, 617 W. State St.
Of 3,800 local stores in the U.S., 155 received this award, based on merchandise selection, prices, sales and promotions, staff and service, and store facility.
City’s financial reporting earns national award
The city of Geneva’s 2012-13 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the U.S. and Canada.
The report contains the city’s financial statements and records from the past decade, property tax and debt data, and general statistical information about Geneva.

Company earns Tucson contract
North Aurora-based InspectionReportsOnline has been chosen to partner implement a web-based inspection report management system to assist in increasing the city of Tucson Fire Department’s fire prevention efforts. IROL has helped more than 150 fire departments across the country.
Senior center offers long-term care series
The Oswego Senior Center will continue its financial education series with a presentation on long term care insurance and planning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, at 156 E. Washington St., Oswego.
David Erickson of Edward Jones, Jacqueline Runnberg of Old Second Bank and Carol Murrin of Solutions for Long Term Care Inc. will explain the options available and answer questions.
