A Yorkville man faces three charges after a disturbance Thursday at Longbeach Elementary School in Boulder Hill.
The man, Charles E. Booker, 37, of the 1300 block of Marketplace Drive in Yorkville, is charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and reckless driving after an altercation with a school staff member at about 8:30 a.m., the Kendall County sheriff’s office said.
Police said Booker was in his vehicle in the student drop-off area when he got into an argument with the staff member. Police said he recklessly drove his vehicle to a parking spot in the front of the school lot and walked toward the building, approaching the staff member.
An assistant principal was able to defuse the situation, police said, and escorted Booker into the secured office area inside the school.
The incident did not involve any students, police said.
