Aurora boy finds loaded shotgun in the woods

A boy found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun while playing in a wooded area near his home on Aurora’s northeast side on Monday.
According to police, the boy was playing outdoors near his home in the 300 block of Woodlyn Drive, when he found a Remington 870 Express shotgun, with a shell in the barrel, stashed in a hollowed-out log. He then brought it to his mother, who reported it to police.
A business owner told police last week that someone stole six light poles, valued at a total of $3,000, from behind the business in the 1700 block of Commerce Drive, police said Tuesday.
Adolfo Guillen, 40, of the 2800 block of Troon Drive, Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving at 11:40 p.m. Friday at Orchard Road and Countryside Drive, police said. He also was charged with failing to secure a child in a child restraint system and endangering the life and health of a child, police said.
Tyler R. Dorio, 21, of the 300 block of Fox Chase, Oswego, was charged with driving 81 mph in a 40 mph zone at 10:26 p.m. Monday near Route 34 and Cherry Road, deputies said.
Christopher M. Zagielski, 28, of the 300 block of Mulhern Court, Yorkville, was charged with two counts of drunken driving, three counts of improper lane use, and no insurance, at 11:03 p.m. Saturday, police said.
A 1999 Chrysler Concorde was stolen Feb. 14 or 15 from a parking lot in the 200 block of Bertram Drive, police said.
