AURORA — A diamond worth more than $27,000 was reported stolen this week from an Aurora jewelry store.
Police said the theft occurred sometime between Jan. 2 and 7. The theft was not reported until about 5:30 p.m. Monday at the store in the Westfield Fox Valley Mall.
The three-karat diamond was valued at $27,300, police said.
Dan Ferrelli, Aurora police spokesman, said Tuesday afternoon that “there is no further information at this time” because the investigation is ongoing and there are still people authorities need to interview.
No one at the jewelry store could be reached for comment.
