Cocaine dealer gets 15 years in prison

YORKVILLE — An Aurora man received 15 years in prison here for possessing cocaine with the intent to sell it.
Kendall County Judge John Barsanti gave that sentence recently to Keiotto Tennial, 33, of the 900 block of Bridge Street, who was convicted last August of unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a Class X felony, after a two-day jury trial.
Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis, who tried the case, called Tennial “the poster child for a lengthy prison sentence” because of his extensive criminal record.
Tennial is a three-time convicted felon who was on parole for delivery of cocaine at the time he was arrested. He currently is being held in federal custody on unrelated drug charges, Weis said.
For this case, Tennial was stopped for a traffic violation. When he was taken to Kendall County Jail, deputies discovered more than 40 grams of cocaine and $1,700 in cash on Tennial, Weis said.
Assisting Weis with the prosecution was Assistant State’s Attorney Andrea Boyle.
Tennial must serve three years of mandatory supervised release after he serves his 15-year sentence.
