Aurora police are investigating an apparent Wednesday night home invasion, during which two men were stabbed and gunfire erupted.
Dan Ferrelli, the city’s director of public information, released a statement at 8:44 p.m. Wednesday, saying police were investigating the crime in an upper-floor apartment on the 500 block of Fourth Avenue.
The incident occurred about 7:24 p.m., Ferrelli said. Two men ages 32 and 22 were stabbed, with one suffering a wound to the neck and the other a wound to one of his arms. Ferrelli did not say which man suffered which wound.
Additionally, gunshots were fired after the stabbings, Ferrelli said. Neither man was struck by any of the bullets, he said.
Both men were undergoing surgery Wednesday night in an Aurora hospital Ferrelli did not identify.
A Hispanic man and a black man are being sought for questioning in the case. Ferrelli said a motive for the attack was not known.
Further details about the crime are forthcoming.
