YORKVILLE — A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody Monday after police from several departments responded to a call about a person with a gun at a church in Yorkville.

Yorkville police said they were called around 4:20 p.m. Monday to St. Patrick’s Church, 406 Walnut St., where doctrine and Bible study classes were in session.

The 17-year-old was found in possession of an Airsoft air pistol, and was taken into custody without incident, police said. No one was injured.

Officers from the Yorkville, Oswego and Plano police departments and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department all responded to the scene.
