Now that’s some Christmas candy!
Chicago pastry guru, chef Alain Roby, was going for a three-peat for the Guinness World Record at Geneva’s downtown Christmas festival Saturday night.
Roby hoped to created the “World’s Longest Sugar Cane” — at least 45 feet — beginning at the Old Kane County Courthouse and stretching down South Third Street.
Roby’s other Guinness World Records include World’s Tallest Cooked Sugar Building, at 12 feet, 10 inches; and World’s Tallest Chocolate Sculpture, at 20 feet, 8 inches.
