A Maple Park man has been sentenced to prison for having sexual contact with a young girl he knew.
Antonio Arceo-Lomeli, 45, of the 07N00 block of McGough Road, Maple Park, was sentenced to five years in prison last week by Kane County Associate Judge James C. Hallock.
Arceo-Lomeli pleaded guilty Oct. 19 to felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse and misdemeanor domestic battery, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said that between Jan. 1, 2011, and Feb. 4, 2012, Arceo-Lomeli had sexual contact with a girl he knew who was under the age of 13 at the time. He also was charged with punching a family member on Feb. 4, 2012.
According to Illinois law, Arceo-Lomeli is eligible for day-for-day sentencing. He was given credit for at least 301 days served in the Kane County jail.
The case was prosecuted by Kane County Assistant State’s Attorney Lori Schmidt, in the Child Advocacy Center.
