The heavy fog which enveloped the Fox Valley for most of the day Wednesday made for hazardous driving — and challenging golf.
Two people were injured and a delivery truck was knocked on its side and dropped part of its load — including ready-to-cook chickens which splattered on the roadway — in a crash involving the truck and two cars along a foggy stretch of Route 34 at Eola Road in Aurora. Police said two people were taken to the hospital.
At about the same time — and about 5 miles west on Route 34 — golfers were out hitting balls into the fog at the driving range at Fox Bend Golf Course in Oswego. The golfers said their tee times were delayed because of the fog.
