TV, jewelry — and cookies — taken in Aurora burglary

Someone broke into an Aurora home and stole more than $7,000 worth of items — including cookies.
According to Aurora police, someone broke the window of a home in the 1500 block of Brighton Circle between 7 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. The thief grabbed a 12-piece sterling silverware set, a computer, jewelry, video game equipment and a TV, police said. The silverware had a primrose design and had a ‘C’ engraved in calligraphy on each piece, police said.
The thief also found two containers filled with homemade cookies and took the treats, but left the containers, police said. Total loss was $7,450.

James Poulos, 25, of Des Plaines, was charged with drunken driving at 12:40 a.m. Sunday near McCoy and Asbury drives, police said.
Eduardo Arce, 21, 700 block of Delius Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 2:20 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of South Union Street, police said.
Juan Prado, 28, 900 block of Jackson Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving at 12:30 a.m. Sunday near Logan and Lincoln avenues, police said.
Henry Day, 33, 100 block of East Galena Boulevard, Aurora, was charged with felony violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act at 8:28 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Andover Drive, police said.
Charissa Clay, 22, 500 block of East Ashland Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felonies drunken driving and driving under the influence of drugs as well as misdemeanors suspended license, improper lane use and no insurance at 1:29 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of East Galena Boulevard, police said.
A 1986 Chevy Silverado, worth $1,000, was stolen from the 0-99 block of North State Street between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:26 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Two people were hospitalized after a two-car crash at 1:12 p.m. Friday near New York Street and Farnsworth Avenue, police said. Driver Ashley Maravillo of the 400 block of Watson Street, Aurora, and passenger Juan Salgado of Aurora, were both taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center but condition reports were not available, police said. Maravillo was charged with no valid driver’s license and failure to yield, police said.
Francisco Sanchez, 23, 300 block of Blackhawk Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, no driver’s license and failure to signal at 12:06 a.m. Friday near Hamilton and Evans avenues, police said.
Marcel Clemons, 38, 600 block of South River Street, Aurora, was charged with felonies robbery and aggravated battery in a public place last week in the 0-99 block of South Anderson Street, police said.
Marcelo Reyna, 22, 900 block of East Benton Street, Aurora, was charged with felonies possession of marijuana and armed violence last week in the 900 block of East Benton Street, police said.
Felipe Silva, 43, 800 block of Kane Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving and improper lane use at 2 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of South LaSalle Street, police said.
Cristina Escobedo, 29, 0-99 block of North Anderson Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving and unlawful stopping at 11:23 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of North Highland Avenue, police said.
Javier Garibay, 38, 400 block of South Calhoun Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 11:10 a.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Solfisburg Avenue, police said.
Jaslyn Norris, 20, 200 block of North Gregory Street, Aurora, was charged with felony concealing or aiding a fugitive and misdemeanor obstructing identification at 9:40 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of Logan Avenue, police said.
James Clayborn, 47, 1700 block of North Farnsworth Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 7:15 p.m. Friday near New York Street and Lincoln Avenue, police said.
Copper wires, a tow hook and tools, worth $2,815, were taken from the 200 block of East Sullivan Road, police said.
