DeKalb County charges man with failure to register as violent offender

A 33-year-old man was arrested in Hinckley Tuesday morning on a charge of failure to register as a violent offender against youth. The DeKalb County sheriff’s office said it was verifying addresses for people on the state’s Violent Offender Against Youth registry and found that Josh W. Seaney of the 500 block of W. Main St., Kirkland, was living at a site for which he was not registered. Seaney was arrested at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of North Garfield Street in Hinckley.

Aurora

Giovanni Portillo, 17, 0-99 block of Pasedena Drive, Oswego, was charged with felony violation of an electronic monitoring device last week, at the Aurora police station, police said.

Sharee Gary, 37, of Chicago, was charged with felony theft last week at the Chicago Premium Outlets mall on Farnsworth Avenue at Interstate 88, police said.

Krystal Frazier, 24, of Chicago, was charged with felony burglary, felony possession of a theft tool, and four counts of retail theft last week at the Chicago Premium Outlets mall at Farnsworth Avenue and Interstate 88, police said.

Jose Diaz, 61, 400 block of South Ohio Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of an altered identification card at 8:29 p.m. Friday in the 0-99 block of New York Street, police said.

Rae John, 31, 700 block of Logan Avenue, Aurora, was charged with three counts of felony domestic battery, and armed violence, a Class X felony, last week at the Aurora police station, police said.

Jesus Guardado, 33, 1600 block of North Marywood Avenue, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, no insurance, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and illegal transportation of liquor, at 12:14 p.m. Saturday near Felten Road and Orchid Street, police said.

Kenneth Nelson, 41, 10300 block of Galena Road, Bristol, was charged with drunken driving, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 7:19 p.m. Saturday near Orchard Road and Prairie Street, police said.

Christopher Nevin, 25, 500 block of Heritage Drive, Oswego, was charged with drunken driving, speeding, and driving on a suspended license at 2:34 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Long Grove Drive, police said.

Heather Dobrand, 22, 700 block of Inland Circle, Naperville, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 9 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Spring Street, police said.

Tyler McClarty, 23, 600 block of North View Street, Aurora, was charged with three counts of felony domestic battery at 11:50 p.m. Saturday at his residence, police said.

Copper piping, worth $3,150, was stolen at about 5:30 p.m. Friday from a home in the 600 block of Spruce Street, police said.

Cash and jewelry, worth $3,520, were stolen between 6:50 and 9 p.m. Monday, from a home in the 700 block of South Spencer Street, police said.

Golf clubs and a snowblower, worth $3,025, were stolen over the weekend from a home in the 200 block of LeGrande Boulevard, police said.

Roberto Martinez, 800 block of South Union Street, Aurora, was charged with driving too fast for conditions, and driving with no license at 5:09 p.m. Sunday after he was involved in an accident with injuries near Route 25 and Center Avenue, police said. Police said Martinez struck pedestrian Alan Krusheski as he was crossing. Krusheski was taken to a hospital, police said. No other information was released.

North Aurora

Jeffrey Greer, 46, 0-99 block of North Batavia Avenue, Batavia, was charged with felony vehicular invasion, felony robbery and battery at 8:40 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of South Lincolnway, police said. Police said Greer approached a woman while she was in a car at a gas station and asked for money. When she refused to give Greer money, he reached inside the car and punched her in the face and stomach, then took $13, police said. Officers found Greer near Provena Mercy Medical Center on Sullivan Road in Aurora and took him into custody.

Oswego

Oswego police reported an accident with injuries that occurred at 5:20 p.m. Monday near Route 30 and Fifth Street. Police said Robert Eller, 42, 4500 block of Marquette Street, Yorkville, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries after he was struck from behind in a rear-end accident, police said. No tickets were issued.
