The Kendall County sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help locating a missing or runaway 13-year-old girl who was last seen by her family early Sunday morning at her Boulder Hill subdivision home.
Deputies said family members of Reyna Martinez, of the 0-99 block of Longbeach Road, said the girl has a history of depression, and was a possible runaway.
Friends of the girl said she had been planning to run away, but were unsure of where she was headed. She told friends she might be going to Texas, deputies said.
Deputies said a male friend of Martinez reported dropping the teen off near her home at 12:55 a.m. Monday, and that she was last seen walking toward her home. Martinez’s mother said she never arrived. No foul play is suspected at this time, deputies said.
Martinez, a Plank Junior High student, is described as 4-foot-11, 120 pounds, with hazel eyes, black hair and a fair complexion. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, a white Abercrombie hooded jacket, blue jeans, and black Converse shoes.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts should contact the Kendall County sheriff’s office at 630-553-7500.
