NORTH AURORA — Two men who were victims of a shooting in a home invasion here this month now have been charged with multiple drug-related offenses.

Baldemar A. Aguilar, 23, and Stephen F. Kolar, 22, both of the 100 block of North River Street in North Aurora, and another resident of the home, Deanna Hernandez, 21, all face multiple charges of drug possession, including felony charges, police said Friday.

On Oct. 2, two men knocked on the door of the North River Street home, and when Kolar answered, one of the men showed a gun, police said. Kolar fled to a bedroom where Aguilar and Hernandez were sleeping. The intruders ransacked the home, shot Kolar in the arm and Aguilar in the arm and chest, and fled.

At the time of the incident, police said they suspected theft was a motive for the crime.

Aguilar and Hernandez are both charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Their bail has been set at $15,000 each.

Kolar is charged with felony manufacturing or delivering marijuana, felony possession of between 30 and 500 grams of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. His bail was set at $40,000.

Police said they are working with the attorneys of the three suspects to arrange a surrender date.

Meanwhile, the search continues for the men who invaded the apartment and shot Aguilar and Kolar. The shooting suspects were both described as Hispanic men, between 5 foot 7 and 5 foot 9, and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. No clothing description was provided. The handgun used in the attack was described as a stainless steel semi-automatic
