A Kane County judge on Thursday reduced the bail of a second Aurora man accused in an August sex assault.
Corderro Pollard, 22, of the 1500 block of Kenilworth Place, had been held in the Kane County Jail on $300,000 bail charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault. Judge Allen Anderson agreed to a reduction to $25,000, which means Pollard would need to post $2,500 bond to be released. He remained in custody as of Thursday afternoon, according to jail records.
Pollard and Eric Stallworth, 22, also of the 1500 block of Kenilworth Place, are accused of having sex with a 25-year-old single mother from Joliet at a party in August. The woman was too drunk to consent, according to prosecutors.
A third man, 25-year-old Shammrie Brown, of the 600 block of Ohio Street, is also charged with sex assault in the case for failing to intervene after seeing Pollard and Stallworth having sex with the woman while knowing she was intoxicated, prosecutors said.
Authorities have said the woman had been drinking with the three men in Naperville before ending up at the residence where Stallworth and Pollard live. Police also are looking into the possibility of similar incidents at the home.
Brown was released from jail last week after his bail was reduced to $25,000. He is now on electronic home-monitoring that restricts him to his home, work, school and court.
Stallworth is scheduled to appear for a bond-reduction hearing on Oct. 25. His attorney filed a motion asking that Anderson to drop the bail amount to $10,000. Brown’s next court appearance is set for Nov. 8, while Pollard is scheduled for Nov. 28.
