Three area residents have been charged with the burglary of a home in Waterman early Tuesday morning.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department said Bradley J. Stanley, 26, of the 0-99 block of Brookside Lane in Bristol; Michael A. Stanley, 27, of the 100 block of Monroe Street, North Aurora; and Leah Behrens, 27, of the 0-99 block of Chatham Place, Montgomery, all are charged with burglary of a home in the 10700 block of Duffy Road in Waterman at about 3:25 a.m. Tuesday.
The sheriff’s office said they were called to the Duffy Road home about a burglary in progress, and the victim then said the three burglars left the home in a white SUV. The vehicle was stopped on Route 23 north of Duffy Road, less than a mile away, by Waterman police.
The Stanleys and Behrens all were taken to the DeKalb County jail.
Behrens also is charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license.
