One charged in Aurora hit-and-run crash

Aurora police are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run crash near Andover Drive and Montgomery Road that occurred over the weekend.
A car hit a mailbox in the yard of a home in the 1400 block of Andover Drive at about at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, but kept going and then hit a car on the street, police said. The second car was knocked into a mailbox in front of another home on Andover Drive, police said. The driver in the second car saw two injured people get out of the first car and run from the scene, police said.
Police later caught up with the passenger, Roderick Rogers. He was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center and charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, police said. No further information was released
Daniel Krauss, 24, 300 block of Rosewood Avenue, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving, disregarding a stop sign, no driver’s license, no insurance and expired registration at 1 a.m. Monday near Fordham Avenue and New York Street, police said.
Victor Cereceres, 22, 1100 block of Front Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance at 3:16 a.m. Sunday near Front and Trask streets, police said.
Robert Magana, 41, 200 block of South Lake Street, Aurora, was charged with drunken driving and failure to signal last week near New York and Kendall streets, police said.
Michelle Martinez, 17, 1500 block of North Golden Oaks Parkway, Aurora, was charged with felony retail theft last week in the 0-99 block of Fox Valley Center Drive, police said.
Emily Brown, 17, 1900 block of Garfield Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony retail theft last week in the 4300 block of Fox Valley Center Drive, police said.
Kenneth Walker, 50, 600 block of South River Street, Aurora, was charged with felony domestic battery last week near Galena Boulevard and Middle Avenue, police said.
Maritza Guzman, 36, 400 block of Spruce Street, Aurora, was charged with felony criminal trespass to a residence and misdemeanor obstructing justice at 4:20 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Hinman Street, police said.
Jose Becerra, 19, 1300 block of Superior Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance as well as misdemeanors marijuana possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor at 10:15 p.m. Friday near River Street and Illinois Avenue, police said.
Daniel Selmon, 23, 800 block of Robert Street, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of 2,000 to 5,000 grams of marijuana and misdemeanor production of marijuana plants at 3 a.m. Saturday in his home, police said.
Solomon McGee, 32, 2000 block of West Illinois Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony possession of controlled substance and misdemeanors failure to signal and suspended license last week near North Randall Road and West Illinois Avenue, police said.
Eighty feet of copper piping was stolen when someone broke the window of a home in the 400 block of South Union Street between Sept. 27 and Friday, police said. Total loss was $1,700, police said.
Adrian Kilgore, 31, 900 block of Symphony Drive, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence, suspended license and no rear license plate at 12:11 a.m. Saturday near Route 34 and Farnsworth Road, police said.
A pedestrian suffered minor injuries after she was hit while loading her car trunk at 4:13 p.m. Sunday in the 4300 block of Route 71, police said. Carolyn Teats, 78, 600 block of Vista Drive, Oswego, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, but a condition report was not available, police said. There were no tickets issued.
