Aurora riders thrown from motorcycle

Dewain Stange, 45, and Mickie M. Stange, 43, both of Aurora, were taken to Valley West Hospital in Sandwich after a motorcycle crash at 1:13 p.m. Sunday at East Sandwich Road and Bastian Road in Squaw Grove, near Hinckley. Dewain was driving when the motorcycle hit a patch of loose gravel, and he lost control, the DeKalb County sheriff’s office said. Both were ejected from the motorcycle and taken to the hospital with injuries. No tickets were issued. Condition reports were not available Monday.

Aurora

A man reported five bottles of Lorethro, a prescription male sexual enhancement drug, were stolen sometime between Sept. 4 and 15 from the top of his dresser in his home in the 700 block of Bloomfield Lane, police said. According to police, the victim said this is the second time the drug has been stolen. No estimate on the value of the drug was available.

Small interior and exterior windows near the door of a home in the 900 block of East Benton Street were broken around 8:20 p.m. Saturday. A neighbor spotted six people running from the scene, police said. The damage was estimated at $1,000.

An iPad, wireless mouse, cuff links, briefcase and radar detector were stolen between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday from an unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 1100 block of Teasel Lane. The items were valued at $1,330.

Five vehicles were vandalized between 6 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday along North Avenue. Windshields were smashed in three cars parked on the street in the 900 block of North Avenue and two cars in the 700 block of North Avenue were also damaged.

Two air conditioning units, valued at $6,000, were stolen between Sept. 1 and 16 from a business in the 700 block of Morton Avenue.

Andre Norman of Aurora was charged with a residential burglary at 3 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Jungels Avenue, police said. Neighbors called when they saw a suspicious person in front of the home, and police arrested Norman. A gold pendant and change stolen from the home were recovered, police said. A basement window was damaged in the break-in. Total loss is estimated at $600.

Bicyclist Armando Mondragon was injured when he was hit by a car at 10:01 p.m. Friday at Elmwood Drive and Indian Trail Road, police said. No charges were filed and no further information was released.

Someone may have been injured in a two-car crash at 11:35 a.m. Friday at McCoy Drive and Entrance 2 to the Westfield Fox Valley mall. William M. Baker was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Kendall County

Scott J. Wilkinson, 65, of the 2800 block of North 4360th Road, was charged with drunken driving and speeding at 7:43 p.m. Sunday at Route 52 and Ashley Road, police said.

Oswego

Rose M. Canon, 47, of the 600 block of Vista Drive, was charged with drunken driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 2:50 a.m. Sunday, at Linden Drive and Plainfield Road, police said.
