Driver charged in fatal crash

Andrew Henderson, 24, Palos Park, was charged with aggravated drunken driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following a fatal traffic crash that occurred at 2:39 p.m. July 14 on Route 126 just East of County Line Road in Kendall County, the Illinois State police said.
Police said Henderson was traveling behind one vehicle and failed to stop, causing a three vehicle rear-end accident. Henderson was taken to Bolingrook Adventist Hospital with minor injuries.
The second driver, Daniel Demartino, 30, Plainfield, and his three passengers were taken to Silver Cross Hospital, and the third driver, Ronald Oswald, 57, Minooka, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Oswego
Frederick Straub, 50, of the 200 block of Paradise Parkway, Oswego, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center following a single-vehicle crash July 15 in the 300 block of Kensington Drive, police said. Police said Straub struck a mailbox, then hit a tree in front of a home. No condition report was available.
Barbara Fiddick, 50, 200 block of Orchard Avenue, Oswego, was charged with drunken driving and improper lane usage at 7:30 p.m. July 14 near Routes 30 and 34, police said.
Power tools, worth $1,680, were taken between 1:30 p.m. Monday and 7:28 a.m. Tuesday from a home in the 0-99 block of West Washington Street, police said.
