AURORA — Country music legend Willie Nelson will play one show at the Paramount Theatre on April 12.

This will be Nelson’s only Chicago-area performance this spring, according to a press release from the Paramount.

The show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. in the 1,888-seat theater at 23 E. Galena Blvd. Tickets range from $69 to $89.

Paramount subscribers will get the first chance to buy tickets. Tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Tickets and information are available at ParamountAurora.com, by calling 630-896-6666, or visiting the box office Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Nelson started his career writing several iconic country songs, including “Crazy,” “Night Life” and “Funny How Time Slips Away.” He was celebrated for his work with Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson, but his greatest fame came by singing “To All the Girls I Loved Before”.

Nelson’s recent solo debut, “American Classic,” features several well-known songs, including “If I Had You,” “On The Street Where You Live” and “You Were Always On My Mind.”
