A Naperville woman remained hospitalized late Thursday night following a traffic crash on Aurora’s far east side.
Mary T. McMahon, 63, of the 1300 block of Kimball Court, was listed in fair condition at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, a hospital spokeswoman said.
McMahon was taken by helicopter to the hospital just after 11:56 a.m. Wednesday, after her sedan hit a tree on the 4300 block of East New York Street just west of Route 59.
Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said McMahon was driving a four-door Mercedes 320 west on New York Street when she hit a tree in the median that separates eastbound and westbound traffic.
Ferrelli said McMahon was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, which remained under investigation late Wednesday.
